At Lazydays RV, we understand the importance of RV upkeep, which is why we’ve decided to create a series of service-related YouTube videos that offer insight into proper RV maintenance. While these practices shouldn’t replace yearly service, they can help prevent long-term problems with your RV. RV Water Heater Maintenance
Because of the exterior vent openings, your RV water heater needs to be regularly checked for rust, bugs and debris. In order to keep your water heater running as efficiently as possible, we recommend yearly maintenance.
RV Slide Room Maintenance
Proper RV slide maintenance requires yearly, professional service; however, it is still important to be vigilant about regularly checking your slide seals, slide covers and the slide mechanism itself.
RV Slide Seals
RV owners should regularly inspect their slide seals for
debris, tears and dryness. These seals are the only barrier protecting the
inside of your RV from rain and water damage, so the earlier you catch a
problem, the less likely you are to encounter serious damage.
RV Slide Covers
The slide cover is critically important in protecting your
RV from damage that could prevent the opening and closing of your slide room.
Routine RV maintenance should include checking the slide cover to make sure it
is taut and free of debris.
RV Slide Mechanism
A visual inspection of the slide mechanism on your RV can
prevent long-term issues. Be sure to check regularly to make sure your slide
mechanism is clean and properly lubricated.
